About

Mahmoud Dodeen studied law at Qatar University and obtained master degree in civil law from Birzeit University, where he had been working as a legal researcher conducted some projects and prepared several studies and researches published and unpublished. He is also a part- time Lecturer at the Faculty of Law –Birzeit University, and he worked for Sharia judiciary in Ramallah Sharia Court for a half and a year. Dodeen is also a member of the Palestinian Bar Association since 2005 as a practical lawyer.

Currently, he is working on his PhD in financial law at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Centre for Economic Law & Governance since April 2009.


Abstract: The research is designed to examine the efficiency of the listing rules applicable to the capital market in the occupied Palestinian territories,  in addition to the disclosure rules regarding both the listed companies and companies seeking listing, through an exploration of the theoretical and empirical aspects of the theme. The Palestine securities exchange is compared to the New York and London Stock Exchanges, and envisages the priorities, needs and features of the Palestinian comprehensive  economic environment.
