About
Régine Feltkamp holds a law degree (Vrije Universiteit Brussel 1995), a master degree in Business Law (Université Libre de Bruxelles 1997) and a doctorate degree (Vrije Universiteit Brussel 2004) with a dissertation on the assignment of receivables. She has been appointed in 2007 as professor of law at the Free University of Brussels (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) and currently teaches the course "Selected topics of contract law", “Principles of private law” and “Law on property (including real collaterals)”. Prior to that assignment she has given guest lectures on a regular basis within the framework of the lectures Financial and Monetary Law, Corporate Law, Commercial Law, Contract law and Selected topics Contract Law. From 1995 to 2001 she was teaching assistant at the Free University of Brussels (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) within the fields of Commercial law, and Economic law.
Régine Feltkamp's main fields of expertise are Commercial and Business Law, Contract Law, Financial Law and Energy Law.
Régine Feltkamp is member of the editorial committee of several law journals and member of the Board of directors of AEDBF-Belgium.
Since 1995 Régine Feltkamp is member of the Center for Business Law – VUB. She is chairing the Research Unit Business&Contracts (BuCo) created in 2009.
Régine Feltkamp is (co-)author of several books and articles in legal journals on various economic, commercial and financial law issues.
Régine Feltkamp is regularly invited as a speaker on various subjects of economic and commercial law and has co-organized several law conferences herself together with the Center for Business Law of the Free University of Brussels (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) and with the AEDBF-Belgium (European Association for Banking and Financial Law).
Régine Feltkamp was admitted to the Brussels Bar in 1998 and joined the independent Belgian law firm Eubelius in 2005 after having practiced in the Brussels office of the international law firm Coudert Brothers LLP, Coppens Van Ommslaghe & Faurès. In August 2007 she started her own independent law firm.
In her law practice Régine Feltkamp acts as council for enterprises and for major law firms (as independent subcontractor) on several topics within the specified fields of expertise. As such Régine Feltkamp has been involved in drafting, negotiating and counseling on various types of agreements, in drafting legal opinions and in drafting laws and regulations.
