ABOUT My RESEARCH:
My research is situated in the context of Website design and cultural differences. The proposed research is about evaluating the influence of the users’ cultural background on content and interface understanding, and to develop a design methodology for website design that take into account social, religion and cultural factors. My contribution in the direction of localisation for website design will be to evaluate the influence of users’ cultural background on content and interface understanding; to define and characterize the cultural dimensions which are shown to be essential to consider for web users; and to work towards a methodology for localising or globalising websites. Using the results of the research, it will be possible to develop websites that take into account relevant social and cultural factors.
